GidiStay private events let you create an invite-only event that does not appear on the public calendar. You get a secret link to share with guests. Each guest registers and receives a unique QR code door pass by email.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests register through a mobile-optimised web page and receive their QR ticket by email. Nothing to install.

How does QR scanning work at the door?

Open /scan/tickets on any smartphone. Point the camera at a guest's QR code — the system shows VALID or INVALID with the guest's name instantly. Each QR is single-use and cannot be forwarded and reused.

Can I export my guest attendance list?

Yes. GidiStay's attendance dashboard lets you download a CSV of all guests with their check-in times, or copy a WhatsApp-ready summary — useful for sending personalised thank you messages after your event.

Who can create a private event on GidiStay?

Any registered event promoter on GidiStay can create private events. Sign up, go to your promoter dashboard, and toggle Private when creating an event.
